The Mayflower Hotel
The Mayflower Hotel, Autograph Collection, has been a renowned luxury landmark in Washington, DC for almost 100 years. Referred to as DC’s ‘Second Best Address’, after the White House, the Mayflower is the longest continuously operating hotel in the Washington, DC area, as its doors have been open since February 19, 1925. Decades and decades of DC history are contained with the Mayflower's walls, and its has served as the setting for major events since its earliest days. These include the Inaugural Ball of President Calvin Coolidge in 1925, held just two weeks after the hotel opened, and the launching of President Harry S. Trumans' re-election campaign in 1948.
